Why we built it

Anyone with devices or software at many customers needs three things: an overview of which device runs which version where; a way to give customers documents and updates; and proof that they have their products in the field under control. The FleetManager delivers all three and is the backbone of our edge business.

What it does

• Heartbeats via HTTPS or MQTT from edge devices and any software, with status, diagnostics and logs
• Traffic light per service, machine and customer, aggregated by the worst state
• Customer tree with tenants, sub-customers, roles (viewer, manager, admin), invitation by e-mail, two-factor sign-in
• Device identity from the factory: serial number, initial password, customer name and inventory number; devices count from commissioning, even before they go online
• Customer portal: manuals, downloads and documents per device, security contact for notifications under the Cyber Resilience Act
• Security modules for Linux and Windows: checks against CIS benchmarks, file integrity, firewall, updates, users
• Interfaces: REST API, webhooks, Python library; your own software reports with a few lines
• Operation: as a service with us (fleet.brinkhaus-gmbh.de) or self-hosted via Docker
